Eastern Cultural Fête 2008
26 May 2008
Over 1400 people attended the 16th Eastern Cultural Fête held at its new venue, which proved to be such a success that a decision has been reached to make The Grange, in Midhurst, its new home!
Everyone is now shielded from the elements which is a good thing since attendance last year was poor due to torrential rain! (We wanted to bring a little bit of Thailand over here - and we got our wish - the monsoon came over!)
Unhampered by the weather everyone was able to enjoy themselves watching the dancers performing Thai classical dances, trying authentic Thai food and hunting for bargains at the craft stores. Also among the attractions were Thai Boxing demonstration, face painting for children and the art of vegetable carving.

Bahn Pak Dang school in Amphoe Dansai, Loei - 600km from Chiang Mai, over about twenty mountains! The school needs books, note pads, basic sports equipment such as balls and bats etc. and more classrooms! Click here to learn more about how you can help them.
