Eastern Cultural Fête: history

The Eastern Cultural Fête takes place every May Bank Holiday in Stedham, West Sussex, held on the green opposite the Trust Headquarters - The Hamilton Arms. As well as being an excellent fundraiser for the Mudita Trust, it has also become a great favourite with locals and people from further afield.

Mini and the children

The first Eastern Cultural Fête was held in 1992: the first ever fund raising event organised by the Trust. It proved to be a success and has lead to the Fête being held every year since then.

Visitors to the Fête will have a chance to taste a vast array of delicious Thai dishes and exotic fruit juices and herbal drinks. There are handicraft stores and display of traditional Thai art, glittering performances of Thai national dance and exhibition of Thai martial arts. All the profits of the Fête go toward the Mudita Trust fund.
