School for blind children in Chiang Mai

Another main project that the Trust is undertaking is a school for blind children in Chiang Mai, in the north of Thailand. They are in desperate need of Braille paper (which is very expensive in Thailand), to enable them to take exams. They have a Montessori specialist to teach them. They are taught handicraft and vocational skills and the items that they make are on sale to raise funds for the school and carry the following label.

Anyone travelling to Thailand should try to visit this school. They will find it a very moving experience.

A visit to the School for the Blind
27 November 2007

Mudita and the Trust members visited the School for the Blind in Chiang Mai to check on their progress and to make a donation. There are supporters of the school who provide food and clothing and other basic needs but they are still in need of Braille paper.
